Why BizyBee doesn't do inventory (today)

We didn't cut recipe-based costing to ship faster. We built BizyBee for sellers who never needed it: print-on-demand artists, digital sellers, and print shops whose "cost" per sale is a platform fee and shipping, not a jar of wax or a yard of fabric consumed per batch.

That's also why there's no setup wall. Craftybase (and now Stocksmith) asks you to model your production before it can tell you anything. BizyBee connects to where you already sell and shows your real profit in minutes, because for this audience, there's nothing to model.

Yes. BizyBee's Hobbyist plan is free forever: one platform integration, 1,000 designs, 25 sales/month, and CSV import is included even on this free tier. Craftybase (now Stocksmith) has no free plan; its cheapest tier is $49/month. If you outgrow Hobbyist, Creator is $5/month and Professional is $15/month, both far below Stocksmith's floor.

Craftybase rebranded to Stocksmith on July 1, 2026. The product, data, and team stayed the same, but the positioning shifted: Stocksmith now targets small-batch manufacturers rather than solo and hobby sellers, and pricing moved up from roughly $19-24/month to a $49/month floor. Sellers who fit the old Craftybase (solo makers, low volume, no manufacturing operation) are the ones this repricing left behind.

No, and it's not trying to. Craftybase/Stocksmith is built around recipe-based cost of goods sold: you define a bill of materials, and the tool deducts raw materials (fabric, wax, beads, whatever you consume per batch) as you manufacture. BizyBee has no recipe or raw-material system. It tracks what you sold, on which platform, at what price, minus platform fees and shipping, so you see real profit per sale. If you manufacture from raw materials and need per-batch costing, stay on Stocksmith.

For a print-on-demand, print, or digital seller who doesn't manufacture from raw materials, BizyBee's Creator plan at $5/month is the cheapest structural fit: two platform integrations, sales and expense tracking, and a Schedule C tax report, with no inventory setup required first. That's a tenth of Stocksmith's $49/month Studio plan, for the parts of Craftybase most POD sellers actually used.

As of August 2026, Stocksmith runs four tiers: Studio at $49/month ($41/month billed annually), Indie at $99/month, Business at $199/month, and Growth at $349/month, each adding order-volume headroom and features like production scheduling and QuickBooks sync.
